Brothers Beer was born in 2012, beginning with a small taproom and beer-tasting lounge in City Works Depot. Soon, we outgrew our microbrewery and opened a new mothership location on Akiraho Street, which housed an expanded brewery as well as our Juke Joint BBQ smokehouse. After opening 6 bars in Auckland, nearly everything was undone by Covid and the ensuing tough times. Put into voluntary administration last year and then finally liquidation this year, Brothers Beer has triumphantly emerged like a mighty Phoenix from the ashes of financial woe - leaner, meaner and with healthy export sales to boot. Staying true to our motto of Good Beer For Good People, we have been given a mandate to make the best beer we can, using the best ingredients we can.
