Pies, pierogis, and pasties - how to eat your way around Beervana
Beer is great, it's true. But what is a beer festival without food? Beervana is just as much for the foodies, as it is for the beer connoisseur with a huge array of delicious food vendors grilling, frying, and shucking their way around the concourse.
This year sees the return of festival favourites Boulcott Street Bistro’s whitebait sammie and Mahurangi Oysters… as well as an exciting new line up of food vendors to keep your appetite happy.
From pies, to pierogis, to pasties - be sure to keep an eye on the Beervana food vendor list as it grows and plan your tasty tour around Sky Stadium.
Between Two Buns?
Yes, wine does go well with cheese. But nothing beats a burger with your beer. You can put almost anything between two buns and it tastes delicious with beer.
Consider heading over to Double Vision’s Kitchen for an epic hoagie roll or hit up Beervana veterans, Burger Liquor, who will be busy grilling up a classic cheesy alongside their world-famous-in-Wellington fat fries. Newcomers Loosies Superette will also be serving up the sammies with their smashed patty melts.
Tasty Trip?
Want a round-the-world trip? Us too. But if that’s not quite possible, then let your tastebuds transport you as your trip around the concourse. The Polish Sausage Company will be grilling up their smoked traditional Polish Kielbasa, while Tayta’s will be serving up Lebanese mezze platters for two alongside kefte pita wraps and stuffed vine leaves.
Birria & BBQ by Bacon Bros will be slinging their out-of-this-world beef short-rib birria tacos and a cheeky kimchi quesadilla. Want more Korean with that kimchi? Then check out Wasabi Chicken who’ll be frying up Korean corndogs and chicken.
Keep exploring Asia with Java Fusion’s beef rendang nasi goreng (yes, you read that correctly, stop drooling on your phone) or finish off your global galavanting with an affogato, courtesy of Kāpiti Ice Cream - it’s the perfect sweet treat to keep you going!
All Wrapped Up?
Dumplings from both east and west are on the menu with House of Dumplings serving up their range of meat, seafood and plant-based dumplings, or check out the Little Polish Kiosk for some perfectly plump pierogis.
Ansum Pasty is bringing its flaky pasty perfection with five delicious traditional flavours on offer, or embrace the humble pairing of pints and pies, with the scrumptious pies from The West Coast Pie Company.
